Each purchase is for ONE random print from the selection shown, along with an archival document protector.
These prints are from Culpeper's English Family Physician; or, Medical Herbal Enlarged, With Several Hundred Additional Plants by by Nicholas Culpeper, Joshua Hamilton and William Saunders, published in London from 1802.
The prints show various herbs for medicinal use, produced using copperplate engraving—a technique in which an image is carved onto a copper plate, which is then inked, wiped to leave ink only in the grooves, and pressed onto paper to create a printed image.
Though they were originally part of a book, the prints had already been separated when acquired by History Hoard. This is often done when a book is heavily damaged beyond repair, in order to salvage the parts that are still usable.
Each print measures approximately 8 x 5 inches.
Our original glass and leatherette display boxes showcase your relic above a custom information card, with a design unique to History Hoard.
