Item Description:

 The Oil Creek & Allegheny River Railroad Company was formed in 1868 after the consolidation of three other railways in Pennsylvania. Though the company once controlled about 125 miles of railroad track, today much of it has been demolished (though portions of the original route still remain in use).

These certificates all date within the 1870's and feature the signature of company president John Scott and treasurer H.A. Phillips.

The stock certificate comes with a rigid archival document holder for preservation and handling. A Certificate of Authenticity is also included.

NOTE: This certificate has no value as a financial asset, and will not be honored by any extant company today.
