An issue of Harper's Bazar, one of the oldest fashion magazines in the United States. The magazine was published by the same company as Harper's Weekly, and billed itself as "A Repository of Fashion, Pleasure, & Instruction." The Bazar targeted a female demographic, and included useful guides such as sewing patterns alongside short stories and articles about current fashion.
Harper's Bazar is still in publication today, though the spelling has been changed to Harper's Bazaar. It is owned by Hearst Communications, Inc, and has an office in New York City.
