Condition: Covers of all three volumes are scuffed and exhibit moderate damage, but are still solid and strong. Binding is strong as well, although volume 5 has one loose thread. Interior pages are good considering age, with minor stains, creasing, and tears.

These three volumes are a biography of the 14th century samurai Kusunoki Masayuki, discussing his prowess as a military strategist and leader. They are heavily illustrated with Japanese battle scenes.

Japanese books are read right to left (instead of left to right) and are bound on the right side, contrary to those in Western languages. The pages may be double layered, and care must be taken to ensure that they do not separate when flipping through. The book must be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and out of reach of bugs.
